Electrical Controls Engineer

PURPOSE:
As part of the engineering team, this person will assist with creating complete system solutions for ILT's high tech customer base.   The controls engineer will work closely with the entire project team to help define the machine requirements, while at the same time identifying technologies that will help solve unique customer problems.  This unique position will involve the engineer in all phases of the project from initial design through final product documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties of the position will include design, implementation, debug, documentation, and support of electrical / software requirements for automated laser systems.  This includes:
- Bills of material
- Internal process improvements
- Laser interface software
- Machine electrical control schematics
- Machine specific automation
- Machine control software 
- Peripheral device interface software
- Sales and quoting engineering support

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
This full-time position is for an Electrical Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in the industrial controls field, and requires a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, good verbal / written communication skills, and good problem solving skills. 
 
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will have experience in most of the following areas:  Industrial Machine Design & Automation, Electrical Control Panel design, Electrical/Software Interface design,  Machine Vision, Motion Control, Industrial Lasers, Promis-e electrical CAD software, Visual Basic.NET, and SQL Server.
